A new book featuring the interiors of twelve San Francisco Victorians
Since 2017 Anson B. Moran has intimately documented the beautifully restored interiors of San Francisco "Victorians" for their owners. The resulting books have been treasured by their owners, shared with friends and family, and donated to the San Francisco Public Library's History Center Archives by the Victorian Alliance of San Francisco.
Now, for the first time, significant excerpts of twelve of these books have been pulled together into a single volume and made available for lovers of Victorian architecture and decoration.
The book has 296 pages, includes a brief history of the start of San Francisco's Victorian Restoration Movement, "From Eyesore to Icon," and brief monographs of the homes' owners and what brought them to their homes.
The heart of the book, however, is the pictures. 321 full color pictures. And, while spectacular, the houses are not museums; they are lived in homes.
Hard cover, 11 x 8.5” with 296 pages and 391 color images. Individually printed on-demand by Mixam.
